FAQs
Disney and Universal planning comes with a lot of moving parts. Here are the questions I get asked most, so you can feel confident before we even get started.
Getting Started
Q: How do I get started?
A: Send me an email, fill out the quote request form, or set up a complimentary 30-minute consultation call via this link.
Q: How far in advance should I book?
A: As soon as you know your travel dates and they're open - book it! A $200 deposit secures a package, and any eligible discounts released later can still be applied to trips already booked. There's really no reason to wait.
Q: My trip is already booked - can you still help?
A: Possibly! For Disney, if your trip was booked direct within the last 30 days and isn't paid in full, it may be transferrable to me. Send me an email or fill out this form and we'll see what's possible. For clients just needing consultation services, please inquire about my fee.
Cost & Booking
Q: What does your service cost?
A: For packages (hotel + tickets), your cost is $0. I'm paid by your travel destination at the conclusion of your trip. I don't charge additional planning fees at this time.
Q: Is your price "marked up," then?
A: No. For Disney packages, the cost of booking with a travel agent is already built into the price, whether you use one or not. You won't see a different price booking on your own. In fact, we should see the exact same price online. The benefit to booking with me is truly the assistance that comes with my hands on planning and experience.
Q: What about 3rd-party sites — aren't they cheaper?
A: Sometimes, but keep in mind: booking through them means agreeing to their own terms, conditions, and cancellation policies (read that fine print carefully). Disney's direct-booked packages come with a generous cancellation policy. The service level with a 3rd-party site is significantly lower (and hold times are VERY high) you're on your own for the rest of the details. Big-box retailers happen to sell travel; I'm a small business that genuinely cares about your trip, not just your money.
Q: I want to use points to book a hotel, or book it myself. Can I just get tickets from you?
A: Yes! Tickets booked on their own (without a package) come with more limited planning resources, but I'm happy to help where I can.
What You Get
Q: What exactly do you do once my trip is booked?
A: Clients who book packages with me get my Next Steps Guide, walking you through what to plan for once you're booked. I also:
-
Help link tickets and reservations to your account
-
Send reminders for key dates tied to your package
-
Make dining reservations & assist with dining plans
-
Serve as your one point of contact for any questions
-
Monitor your package for released discounts and more!
Q: Do I lose control of my trip? What if I don't need that much help?
A: Not at all! I don't "control" your trip. I can help as much or as little as you'd like; I have clients on both ends of that spectrum. Packages booked through me do require payment through me, but beyond that, it can be entirely your show.
Q: Do you book group travel?
A: Yes! Multi-generational trips, school or sports groups, or any other group travel.
Logistics
Q: What about strollers, car rentals, airport transfers, etc.?
A: I can help with all of the above and send additional resources to make it easy. I have personally used the resources I recommend and take the guess work out of choosing who to work with.
